A digital automotive power probe reduces the time spent diagnosing faults in a vehicle's electrical system. Powered by the vehicle's battery, positive or negative current can be applied to the probe tip simply by operating a rocker switch. The device is short-circuit protected and can check for bad ground connections. It allows tracking and locating short circuits. It can also check for continuity using an auxiliary ground lead.
